Mojito Toro Rojo

1 jigger and 1 pony white rum

3 teaspoons turbinado (gold) sugar

1 can red bull

8 mint leaves

1 lime

Ice

In a tall glass, muddle the mint and sugar together, and then squeeze the lime in. Mix gently, then top glass with ice. Add in rum, and then top glass with the Red Bull.

It is a delicious variation that I made up after watching Alton Brown make the same thing on Good Eats. If you're not a fan of Red Bull, you can replace it with your favourite energy drink, or even Sprite. Adjust amount of sugar and alcohol to your liking -- it's all about personal preference!
